What a windy week here at LNH!
This week, we were able to get back into the arena, where we worked on Flexing, Bend at the Walk, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill/Walk/Trot, Shoulder In/Out, Stopping & Backing, & Neck Reining. Through the neck reining, we've been turning that into a Turnaround since he gets anxious when gathering him up, as I would for a normal turnaround.
Overall, it was a week of nice progress, despite the wind. He's obviously becoming much softer throughout his whole body, progressing towards having more of a "yes, I can do that, no problem" attitude in what I ask of him. His stopping & backing has dramatically improved from all gaits as well.
Next week, we'll continue building upon what we worked on this week as I look to further the softness in his head, neck, shoulders, & ribcage, become more accepting of all that I'm asking of him, & work on speed control.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
